Marea, mariñeira memory museum

The Marea Museum is dedicated to collecting, researching and transmitting the memory of the people of the sea.

Its ethnographic collection brings us closer to the professional and domestic spheres. Old rigging, old photographs in B / W, oral accounts, a neat and open exhibition space and modern communication media (loop broadcast of videos and a 1960 documentary shot in Porto do Son) speak of the experiences of women and men of this coast.
